Community Planning and Engagement

β€œThe point of planning is to have some sense of how to secure the future.”

- Ruth Wilson Gilmore

Hoquarton Waterfront Plan

The City of Tillamook conducted a community planning process, with the goals of being innovative, forward-thinking, collaborative and engaging. Working with Cogan Owens Greene, we crafted an engagement process and visual identity to match those ideals.

Cape Kiwanda Master Plan

Cape Kiwanda is a well-loved destination on the Oregon Coast, used by dory boaters, fishermen, surfers and beachgoers. It has a timeless quality, anchored by the iconic Haystack Rock and billowing sand dunes. When it came time to update infrastructure for tourism and economy, we helped craft the design identity for the community engagement process, working with local leaders and community members to match their culture.

Coos Head Area Master Plan

The Coos Head Area Master Plan was the culmination of a years-long multi-stakeholder engagement process between the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians (CTCLUSI). After the U.S Military deaccessioned 43 acres of land back to CTCLUSI, they underwent a process to determine future uses for properties. The land would be subject to county zoning regulations and fees, and required balancing needs with the rural county policies. This plan addressed topics of local sovereignty, rural economic development, and protecting natural resources and assets.
